CIIRDF invites Canadian and Israeli firms to propose joint projects that aim to develop or validate cyber solutions for the energy industry. Successful applicants will receive up to 50% of the eligible project costs from CIIRDF.

The Canada-Israel Cyber Security Cooperation for the Energy Sector is a new pilot program that supports technology cooperation between Canadian and Israeli firms, and joint R&D projects that aim to improve the cyber resilience of Canada’s energy infrastructure.

Managed by CIIRDF and funded by Natural Resources Canada and the Israel Innovation Authority, this program supports bilateral industry-led proof-of-concept, technology validation or joint R&D projects that:

  • Aim to address the growing cyber risks to critical energy infrastructure such as the electricity grid and oil & natural gas pipelines
  • Can be completed in 6 months (March 31, 2019)
